Fall protection for photovoltaic systems
The safety of LUX-top®

INNOVATIONS AT A GLANCE:
FALL PROTECTION SYSTEMS FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS

In view of the technical complexity of photovoltaic systems, which are often installed in places that are difficult to access, the safety of workers during installation and maintenance is of the utmost importance. As the owner or operator of the PV system, you are responsible for the duty to maintain safety in accordance with Section 823 of the German Civil Code (BGB) and therefore for avoiding or reducing hazards.

How suitable a roof is for a photovoltaic system depends on various factors: Roof shape, roof orientation, roof area, shading, material, age and load reserves of the roof structure.

At LUX-top®, we offer customized fall protection solutions for photovoltaic systems on any roof that not only meet the highest aesthetic demands, but also comply with the strictest safety standards. Find out more about our comprehensive fall protection solutions and let us advise you in a non-binding consultation.

Installation & maintenance for PV systems

Professional installation and regular maintenance and servicing of the PV system are just as important for proper functionality and efficient energy production. Defects and hazards can be detected at an early stage, allowing the PV system to make a reliable and sustainable contribution to the green energy supply. A visual inspection should be carried out annually by a specialist company, while a comprehensive inspection in accordance with DIN EN 62446-2 (testing of electrical equipment) is required every 4 years. Insurance companies in particular require proof of timely maintenance at the latest in the event of damage. Missing or incomplete test reports can lead to the system operator being exposed to claims for damages or even losing insurance cover.
