LUX-top® RGD Abseiling point – concrete
Abseiling point for rope-assisted access and positioning technology in accordance with TRBS 2121-3
Rope-assisted access and positioning technology (SZP) is always useful when a work area is high, low or difficult to access. SZP is the perfect solution when conventional access methods are too time-consuming or dangerous. Falls from buildings from great heights are a danger even for trained personnel at work and can result in long-term and serious injuries. Therefore, SZP is an appropriate method to ensure the safety of industrial climbers during their work, even on challenging projects, at a manageable cost. Industrial climbers are mostly tradespeople from various professions, such as roofers, building cleaners or painters, who use ropes to reach their workplace and work there safely.
Before starting work with rope access and positioning technology, a rope access concept is always drawn up in collaboration with the architect / building operator and an SZP expert. This specifies precisely the areas of a building for which rope access work is planned. It also analyzes which dangers can occur, how industrial climbers can secure themselves, how they can rescue each other in emergency situations and which anchor points are used.
As a member of FISAT (Fach- und Interessenverband für seilunterstützte Arbeitstechniken), safety in rope access and positioning technology and working at height is a major concern for LUX-top®.
Our abseiling point LUX-top® RGDfor mounting on concrete and steel structures, is the perfect solution for rope access and positioning technology in accordance with TRBS 2121-3. The anchorage device is designed for mounting on concrete components with four concrete anchors. The model is also available with a counter plate. It is used for fastening to load-bearing components with a counter plate and four threaded rods. Both versions are suitable for cable access and positioning technology up to an installation height of 700 mm and have excellent physical properties thanks to their stainless steel construction with internal insulation. The system is approved for use as a single anchorage point for a maximum of 1 user as part of the support system with rope access and positioning technology or as a single anchorage point for users of PPE for up to 3 users.
Our high-quality system meets the most important technical standards. The model has been tested and certified in accordance with both DIN EN 795:2012 Type A and CEN/TS16415:2017. The permanently usable anchorage device is made of high-quality stainless steel and is assigned to corrosion resistance class CRC II in accordance with DIN EN 1993-1-4. LUX-top® RGD also meets the requirements of DGUV-I 201-056 (Planning principles for anchorage devices on roofs), DIN 4426:2017 (Equipment for the maintenance of structural systems) and ASR A 2.1 (Technical rules for workplaces – Protection against falls from a height).

As the operator/building owner is obliged to ensure that the anchorage device is in proper and perfect condition at all times, maintenance and inspection of the anchorage device should be carried out at least every 12 months. Depending on requirements and possibilities, maintenance is also recommended earlier.
The technical rule TRBS 2121-3 regulates the handling of hazards to persons due to falls from a height, the use and provision of access and positioning procedures with the aid of ropes.
