Things to know about fall protection FOR concrete
Ensure fall protection on concrete substrates and concrete components
A fall protection system is not only useful for work processes on roofs or high walls, it is also required by law. As a rule, fall protection must be provided from a height of 2 meters or 1 meter for maintenance work, but there are various regulations on this in Germany, so decisions must be made on an individual basis. Even a fall from a low height can lead to serious injuries, which can be prevented by appropriate fall protection. An anchorage device is part of a fall protection system, which in turn can include one or more individual anchorage points. It provides people carrying out work on the roof with a means of securely fastening PPE to prevent falls.
Anchor points can be used either as single anchor points, start and end points or intermediate anchors in lifeline systems. In combination with personal fall protection equipment (PPE), anchor points provide reliable fall protection. LUX-topĀ® anchor points are tested and certified in accordance with DIN EN 795 and are therefore ideal for installing weather-resistant, permanent fall protection systems on or on concrete substrates.
When working on a flat roof, safety edges are a good way of meeting the prescribed occupational safety requirements. They allow workers to attach their PPE. As a single anchor point, for example, a guardrail is a form of fall protection.
Certification of our anchor points
In order to meet even the highest requirements, all anchor points in our range undergo factory production control (FPC) in accordance with EN 1090-2. In addition, our securties and operating processes are certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and EN 1090-2. Most of them also have a type examination certificate in accordance with DIN EN 795 and DIN CEN/TS 16415:2017 and a general building authority approval (abZ) and general type approval (aBG) from the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt). Among other things, the DIN EN 795 standard specifies the requirements that technical solutions for fall protection systems must meet.

FAQ on fall protection for concrete
How do I find the optimum attachment point for my project?
The right guardrails are essential for a functioning fall protection system. First of all, a suitable installation variant must be selected depending on the installation substrate. The height of the flat roof structure is then determined to select the correct installation height of the guardrail. Last but not least, a suitable anchor point can then be selected from our range.
You will find step-by-step instructions on our website.
What is required for fastening individual anchor points?
All individual anchor points are supplied with the required fixing materials. So you can get on with your project quickly!
Who may install individual anchor points?
Appropriate training is essential for correct installation. Teamwork works best, as the creation of installation documentation is mandatory and should be carried out by one person.
Do anchorage devices have to be tested?
Yes, an inspection of the anchor points is recommended at least every 12 months. Maintenance may only be carried out by an expert who has been certified by the manufacturer of the anchorage device. Complete installation documentation should also be available.
