Working on the roof is associated with a high risk of falling. In addition to falling over the outer edge of the building, there is also a risk of falling through skylight domes and light bands, as well as smoke and heat extraction systems.
We at LUX-topĀ® have found the ideal solution for such problems. Our LUX-topĀ® DLP is a type-tested fall-through protection system for lighting elements, smoke and heat extraction systems, which can be installed from below as a retrofit solution. It is not necessary to open the skylight dome. This prevents possible leaks caused by opening and reclosing the dome!

DLP stands for Dome light protection, which translates into German as Lichtkuppeldurchsturzsicherung. The DLP can be attached to trapezoidal steel profiles, wood and concrete, as well as all other sufficiently load-bearing surfaces. In the event of a fall through, the person is caught by a stainless steel net. This net is held by an aluminum frame. Due to the low weight of the aluminum and the pre-assembled frame, the DLP can be installed quickly and easily in one piece. Installation from below/inside with a lifting platform means that the opening mechanism of smoke and heat extraction systems does not have to be cut out. As the frame hangs below the roof structure and can overlap as required, no millimeter-precise measurements are required. To ensure fall-through protection for long continuous rooflights where the maximum frame size of 3×3 meters is exceeded, several frames can be connected together.
