Things to know about fall protection on wood
Always an important building material for the roof, wood is increasingly being used constructively for the entire building.
In addition to load-bearing glulam beams, wall panels and ceiling elements made of wood have become frequently used building elements in modern architecture. This development is supported by the convincing ecological balance of the renewable raw material.
Fall protection on wooden surfaces
The use of wood is particularly suitable for the installation of fall protection on the roof, but also on the underside of the ceiling elements or inside the building, as well as on all exterior and interior walls.
Installation – regardless of how many components it consists of – is possible at practically any point on the wooden element. This gives architects and planners a high degree of design freedom and supports the architectural integration of the fall protection system.
LUX-topĀ® offers you
the right fall protection for wood
LUX-topĀ® has a wide range of products in its portfolio that have been developed for use in combination with timber elements. One example of this is the LUX-topĀ® ASP EV 6 U anchor point for fastening to wooden beams or glued laminated timber (glulam for short). Or the LUX-topĀ® ASP EV 7, which is screwed to the roof boarding with the glulam underneath.
The LUX-topĀ® DUO III is also bolted through the roof boarding to the glulam beam below. With this anchor point, it is also possible to remove the stainless steel round bar for transportation. This considerably simplifies the site logistics of timber elements pre-assembled in the factory.
LUX-topĀ® ASP EV 7 II makes installation even easier. The anchor point has a large load distribution plate and was developed for direct bolting to the roof boarding. This enables very flexible positioning on the roof. Additional fastening to the glulam is therefore not necessary.
